Amazonian Region

In the Amazonian region countries are Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Bolivia.  Tropical fruits, freshwater fish, root vegetables like yuca, and palm products are staples. Common spices are achiote, cumin, and chili peppers.

 Traditional main courses like Brazilian Moqueca, Peruvian Patarashca Ecuadorian Sopa de Yuca highlight the region. Local tropical fruits from this region are Aguaje and Camu Camu fruit.
